If you run an e-commerce site of any kind, have you considered just how much you could improve your sales figures by installing a live help system?
If a visitor is on your site and has a question, but doesn't want to hang around, if you provide them with the opportunity to ask the question there and then (and get an answer instantly!) just think how much more likely it is you're going to get that sale!
From a business point of view, if you're spending your time on the computer, you may as well spend it with the chat window open - just in case a potential visitor is about to turn into a customer.
